The counterfeit goods industry is so big in the East that it was only a matter of time before The Museum of Counterfeit Goods was opened in Bangkok, Thailand. You can visit this quirky museum where confiscated counterfeit goods are displayed next to the original items. See if you can spot the difference. Some are very good replicas others not so much! More than 4,000 goods are on display. Each item has been produced against the law trademark laws. There are 14 categories of goods including alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, food, perfume, household products, and more.

Tilleke & Gibbins

The law offices of Tilleke & Gibbins house the museum. On display is a huge collection amassed through the law firm’s work on counterfeit cases with the police. The museum collection covers garments, leather goods, electrical gadgets, and much more. Visitors can learn how piracy and fake goods harm the economy, consumers and producers of the goods. Rip-off goods are not a victimless crime.
