Created by Frédéric Baron and inspired by love messages carved in tree trunks around Paris. As these messages won’t last on trees he decided to bring them all together on a permanent wall. Together with a calligrapher he had the words engraved on to dark blue glazed lava tiles. The blue perhaps represents the sky and all of humanities love spread across it. Then there are some red pieces which are perhaps the human heart which has been broken so often. The words of love are in 300 languages and dialects. The Creator apparently asked friends and foreigners to add their versions of love into his notebooks of which there were three, filled with over 1000 declarations. It is a popular place for lovers to go and declare their love to one another.
