The Communist Museum Prague is very informative and focusing on Communism in the Czech Republic. It gives you a full account of Soviet history in Prague and the Czech Republic. There is a lot of information to take in including illustrations, long written descriptions, dioramas, original antiques and video footage. The museum is housed in a historic customs house. Rooms are set up like the original interrogation rooms. The most shocking part of the museum is film footage of the Velvet Revolution. It is accompanied by a haunting Czech song with translated lyrics. The history is fascinating and moving. Under Soviet rule over 200,000 Czechs were arrested and shot.
