The heart of Little India centers on Brady Passage. This is one of two Parisian-covered passages constructed in 1828 and made out of iron and glass. In and around Brady Passage are many hidden gems with exotic origins.

Shopping in Little India
Here you’ll find Saris and silks, exotic foods, CDs, Carnatic music and Bollywood flicks. The lanes are lined with Tamilian shops, barbers shops, Ayurveda treatment salons and even a Ganesh Temple. Visit the temple for its annual festival sometime in late August to early September.
When you’ve done your shopping, there are restaurants, each with its own regional delicacy. If you like it hot and spicy then this is the place for you! The passages close to Passage Brady, Paris are fascinating and each holds its own exotic charm.

Getting there:
Exit La Chapelle tube station turn left for Rue du Faubourg St. Denis (in the direction of Gare du Nord), you will already see the Asian stores, and a little further on you can follow your nose to the Brady Passage.
Alternatively, start at the Chateau d’eau or Stasbourg St. Denis Metro stations.
Brady Passage runs between Boulevard St. Martin and Boulevard du Faubourg St. Denis.
