Is the Montreal Nude Waitress restaurant still open?

Les Princesses Serveuses Sexy

Las Princesses Restaurant 4970 Rue Hochenaga, Montreal

This “iconic” Montreal diner known for its quirky atmosphere and topless waitresses had a well-reported 7-year legal battle with authorities over the waitresses’ attire. Until in 2011 the restaurant with “nude” waitresses was ordered to cover up their servers’ assets. The restaurant closed briefly and reopened in 2015, this time after a facelift and with new “uniforms” for their servers. Having closed under Corona regulations Les Princesses is making a comeback on 22 June 2020! The restaurant made famous by its nude waitresses will once again welcome hungry diners. This time the waitresses will be wearing skimpy tops and mini skirts. OK, so it can’t call itself one of the restaurants with nude waitresses anymore but it is as close as you’ll get in Montreal without going to a strip club or escort agency. So if you like your breakfast topless and your coffee bottomless this is your best option in Montreal.

Montreal Strip Clubs

There are probably many more but I thought I’d include a few popular Montreal strip clubs seeing as topless restaurants are now so scarce. Due to COVID the strippers can’t get too close 馃檪

Cabaret les Amazones – 30 dances plus private cabins, and a full food menu.

Chez Paree – 80 exotic dancers performing on stage, and in private rooms. This gentleman’s club has been around since the 1950s.

Kamasutra – One of Montreal’s hottest strip clubs for men and women, offering a range of exotic services.

Bar Exxxotica – they offer a laid-back bar atmosphere in the trendy Mile End area.

Bar Mania – Not frequented by tourists. This is your friendly neighborhood strip club.

Campus Strip Bar – A men’s gay strip club.

Village au Pied du Courant

The nearest real beach to Montreal is about an hour away but never fear there is a man-made beach right in the heart of the city. The Village au Pied du Courant is located under the Jacques Cartier Bridge. Standing in for the sea is the Saint Lawrence River. The pop-up village on the riverside may not have restaurants with nude waitresses, but it hosts a variety of cultural and entertainment programs – all free to the general public. At this Montreal beach, you’ll find food trucks, live music performances, bars, seasonal events, and of course sand! The village is created each year by the community and for the community with sports facilities, craft stalls, games, and activities. The open season is 1 June-15 September, Thursday 4pm-9pm; Friday 5pm-12am; Saturday 4pm-12am and Sunday 3pm-11pm(craft market). The Montreal beach village is also open Wednesdays for fireworks on 11 and 18 July plus 1 and 8 August 7pm-11pm.

Village au Pied du Courant: Off of Rue Notre-Dame Est, Montreal. At the foot of the Jacques Cartier Bridge. Access is from Papineau metro station via Rue de Lorimier along the river bank east. An alternate entrance is off Fullum Street.

This comfortable eatery serves humans and their best friends – their dogs. Take your dog out for a coffee and treats at this canine-friendly cafe. It’s not one of the city’s restaurants with nude waitresses but clothing is optional for dogs! While you sip your brew the dogs can play and nibble on snacks. The staff can give you dog training tips. The dog cafe’s menu is vegetarian with vegan and gluten-free options for the people and a canine menu including doggy beer, ice-cream sandwiches for dogs, biscuits, and even dog birthday cakes. Resto Canin strives to uphold eco-friendly standards. The cafe holds monthly meet-ups where there are photo contests for the canines and a professional photographer on hand to catch the moment. No Montreal nude waitresses here!

Resto Canin: 4701 Rue St-Denis, Montreal. Open daily 10am-8pm.

Resto La Turf Bar serves delicious food in a “beach” setting overlooking a standing wave where surfers complete the illusion. Eating on the water’s edge doesn’t mean you have to compromise on taste, the restaurant serves really good surf & turf grub inspired by surf destinations around the world. The terrace restaurant can seat 150 diners. If you want to really immerse yourself in the beachfront vibe why not try surfing! The surfstream wave is unique to Oasis Surf and to Canada (although there are other standing waves in Montreal that use different technology). No experience is required to venture onto the 2ft-high waves. If surfing is a bit much for you then you could go bodyboarding and if you are an expert surfer or wake-surfer the waves can reach 4-6ft on a Monday night. There are a number of packages that start at C$39 for 30min surf on one of the site’s three waves.

Oasis Surf Montreal: 9520 Blvd. Leduc Suite 01, Brossard, Montreal.

The decor of this unique Montreal restaurant is enough to whisk you away to Africa – the walls are covered with patterns, the low seating is covered with brightly covered blankets and the serving dishes are authentic. Enter the nomad’s tent of North and West Africa; taste unique dishes from Africa, enjoy a traditional tea ceremony and the hospitality of the desert people. the traditional African dishes are changed daily using locally-sourced, fresh organic ingredients in line with eco-gastronomy. There are vegetarian and gluten-free options. The incredible flavors and traditional decor make this a unique Montreal experience.

OK so this isn’t restaurants with nude waitresses, but it is dam interesting!

Take a trip to these unusual residential apartments built in the 1960s as a new model for urban living. The module design was created by architect Moshe Safdie. It stands on the waterfront and was originally constructed to house laborers who came from across the world to build the Expo 67 World Fair site. The concept behind the building is one of organic growth incorporating geometry with nature. This style is often called “Brutalist” but the architect claims it was a reaction to the Brutalism trend of the ’60s and aimed to improve the lifestyle of working-class people. Each apartment has a private garden on the roof of the apartment below. There are 158 units that resemble packing boxes randomly stacked. The apartments are still inhabited and the privacy of the residents is protected. reaching Habitat 67 is a little tricky as it is far from the city center. The best way to get there is from Parc Jean-Drapeau metro station. Adjacent to the residential complex is a standing wave popular with urban surfers. Although you probably won’t be staying in Habitat 67 you might want to check out these unusual Montreal hotels.
