Montjuic Station(Mirador): Mirador Station (halfway up Montjuic Mountain near the Miramar Hotel)<> Jaime I Tower<> Port Vell.

Reach Mirador Station:

  • The Montjuic cable car goes from Parc del Montjuic (Teleferic Montjuic) to the castle on the summit and on the return journey stops at Mirador station.

Tower of Jaime I Station: (Currently closed) On Barcelona pier this tower has a restaurant and observation platforms.

Reach Jaime I Tower Station:

  • Teleferico del Puerto
  • Metro stop Jaime I.

Sant Sebastia Tour  Station:(Saint Sebastian’s Tower) At end of the port area near the W Hotel.

Reach Sant Sebastia Station:

  • Barceloneta Metro Station(L4).
  • Touristic Bus.

Here you can visit: Barceloneta Beach and port area.

Open Hours: 1 December-28 February: 11:00-17:30; 1 March-31 May: 10:30-19:00; 1 June-10 September: 10:30—20:00; 11 September-29 October: 10:30-19:00; 20 October-31 December: 11:00-17:30. Closed for two weeks in January, Christmas Day and windy days.

Teleferic de Montjuic (Montjuic Cable Car)

Montjuic Castle Cable Car

Parc Montjuic Station: Half-way up Montjuic near the Miramar Hotel; a 5min walk from the Miramar Estacio del Funicular upper station of the Port Cable Car and Montjuic Funicular.

Reach Parc de Montjuic Station:

  • Touristic Bus Teleferic de Montjuic stop.
  • Montjuic Funicular.
  • Bus 55 or 150 to Av. Miramar-Estacio del Funicular.

Here you can visit: the Fundació Miró, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, Poble Espanyol, Barcelona Ethnological Museum, the Olympic Ring and the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum.

Castell Station: The Castle of Montjuic at the top of the mountain is a great Barcelona cable car stop for panoramic views.

Reach the Castell Station:

  • Walk up Montjuic
  • Take the Teleferic.

Here you can visit: The Castle, the Botanical Garden, the Joan Brossa Gardens and the Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer Gardens.

Mirador Station: Next to the beautiful gardens and look-out points. The cable car only Stops here on the return journey.

Reach the Mirador Station:

  • Walk up Montjuic
  • Take the Teleferic de Montjuic.

Here you can visit: Mirador de l’Alcalde, the Miramar Gardens and the Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens.

Open Hours: January-February: 10:00-18:00; March-May: 10:00-19:00; June-September: 10:00-21:00; October: 10:00-19:00; November-December: 10:00-18:00.

Price of Teleferic Montjuic Cable Car Tickets: One-way 8.4€ (children4-12yrs6.6€); Return trip 12.7€ (children 9.2€), children under 4yrs free.

Parel-lel Metro Station: At the base of Montjuic Mountain.

Reach this Station:

  • Metro lines L3, L2.

Use this station to visit: Attractions nearby.

Parc de Montjuic: The half-way point up Montjuic at Montjuic Park(Parc de Montjuic) a few minutes walk from the Parc de Montjuic Cable Car Station.

Reach this station:

  • Port Cable car to travel down to the port.
  • The Teleferic de Montjuic to travel up to the castle.

Use this station to visit: Attractions on Montjuic.

Open Hours: Autumn-Winter: Monday-Friday 7:30-20:00; Saturday, Sunday, holidays 9:00-20:00. Spring-Summer:  Monday-Friday 7:30-22:00; Saturday, Sunday, holidays 9:00-22:00.

Montjuic Funicular Ticket Price: Price of the funicular included in your metro pass or same price as metro ticket.

 Pl. Doctor Andreu Station(Pl del Funicular): At the foot of Mount Tibidabo off Carrer de Bonaventura Roig; Av. Del Tibidabo and Place del Doctor Andreu.

Reach this station:

  • Bus 196.
  • Tramvia Blau from Avenida Tibidabo Metro Station (last stop on L7) to Pl. Doctor Andreu stop.
  • Walk up to the Funicular station.

From this station visit: Sites nearby.

Tibidabo Station: Site of the famous theme park at the top of Tibidabo Mountain and the Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Reach this station by:

  • T2A Bus from Pl. Cataluña.
  • Tibidabo Funicular.

From this station visit: Temple Expatori del Sagrat Cor de Jesus and the Tibidabo Theme Park. A  little further down the hill is the Fabra Observatory and Torre de Collserola.

Nearest Metro station: Bottom of the hill at Pl. Doctor Andreu.

Open Hours: Weekends in February and daily March-December (except 25, 26, 31 December when closed): 11:00-15min after Tibidabo Park closes; January closed.

Funicular del Tibidabo Ticket Price: When purchased with an entrance ticket to park: 4.10€; when not purchased with park entrance ticket: 7.70€

If you want to visit the Tibidabo Theme Park and avoid the Funicular then take the T2A bus from Placa Cataluña (corner of Placa Cataluña and Rambla Cataluña in front of Desigual Shop). It runs every 20min from 10:00 until 30min before park closes on days that the park is open and costs 3€ one-way.

Vallvidrera Funicular

Travel from the Peu del Funicular Station in the Sarria-Sant Gervasi District which connects to the Barcelona-Valles Line to the Vallvidrera Superior Station in Vallvidrera neighborhood in the Collserola mountains. There is a Barcelona cable car stop between the two terminus points called Carretera de les Aigues; this stop is by request only and gives you access to the Carretera de les Aigues walking route.
